Arizona Medicaid: New reporting changes to the Deerfield Child and Adolescent Level of Care Utilization System (CALOCUS) training

On July 1, 2022, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan will now require reporting and tracking of those who complete the Deerfield Child and Adolescent Level of Care Utilization System (CALOCUS) training.

What does the new requirement mean?
UnitedHealthcare Community Plan and the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) will review the CALOCUS certification process. This means that at the beginning of each month Workforce Development will generate reports to see who has completed the training by the end of each month.

They will then compare those reports with the Deerfield completion report to make sure all requirements have been met.

Who needs to complete the training?
Child and adolescent health care professional agency employees need to complete the Deerfield CALOCUS training within 30 days of being enrolled in the CALOCUS Training plan named *AZAHP – CALOCUS Training Requirement (30 Days).

Health care professional agencies can enroll employees in the training through Relias.

You need to complete the training if you:

After employees complete the training, their supervisor or administrator should mark them complete in Relias to show they’ve met the requirements for the CALOCUS certification.

Those who have completed the CALOCUS training in the past should be enrolled and marked complete.
