Washington: HCPCS codes for prenatal visits

The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) requires health care professionals treating pregnant members to use valid and complete HCPCS codes for all prenatal services.

When you use the correct codes, it alerts us to coordinate early access to care and case management for your high-risk patients who are members of UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Washington. Our team of maternity nurses and professionals are available to support you and your patients, giving them and their babies the best chance for healthy outcomes.

What you need to do

Include the following HCPCS and appropriate ICD codes on all paper and electronic claims.
