Arizona: Update your AHCCCS registration

Referring, ordering, prescribing and attending (ROPA) providers must register with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS). If you are currently registered with the state as a RP provider type, you must reach out to AHCCCS and update your registration to a valid provider type. Take action as soon as possible help avoid claim denials.

  • AHCCCS has a list showing current, active registered providers as well as excepted providers (residents, interns, pharmacists)
  • If you are considered an excepted provider and do not see your National Provider Identifier (NPI) listed on the excepted list, email provider name and NPI. Indicate if NPI is associated with a resident, intern or pharmacists. Include the beginning date associated with this association.
