Kentucky: Register to provide the COVID-19 vaccine

Last modified: June 16,  2021

You can help Kentuckians get the COVID-19 vaccination. If you haven’t already signed up, you can register with the Kentucky Department of Public Health’s Kentucky Immunization Registry (KYIR) to receive and administer the COVID-19 vaccine through your practice.

We hope that you’ll consider registering with the state to help bring vaccination opportunities to our members and your other patients.

Home health care professionals

Home health care agencies can register and may be able to administer the vaccine to members who are homebound or those who don’t have easy access to a vaccination site.

Getting questions about vaccines?

Now more than ever, patients may be asking questions about the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines. These UnitedHealthcare resources can help answer those questions and give you information to share:

  1. The Building COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence self-paced learning course has tips and scenarios that will help you respond during conversations with members
  2. Our Vaccine Confidence resources page has direct links to vaccine information from the American Medical Association (AMA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and more
  3. The What to know about COVID-19 vaccines resource site can help members learn more and consider their options
