UnitedHealthcare is postponing the implementation of the increased minimum amounts of malpractice (professional liability) insurance that health care professionals are required to carry to meet our credentialing and recredentialing requirements.
This change was announced in the Dec. 1 Network Bulletin and was set to go into effect on March 1, 2021 in 13 states: Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Wyoming. Implementation is on hold until further notice.
