How to submit advance or admission notifications/ prior authorizations - Chapter 7, 2021 UnitedHealthcare Administrative Guide

You can submit notifications and prior authorizations many ways. After receiving confirmation, do not resubmit your request. Prior authorization for SNF, acute inpatient rehabilitation and long-term acute care can only be submitted through (preferred) or phone. For markets where naviHealth manages post-acute care, prior authorization and notification follows the naviHealth process.
