Benefit enhancements for Kansas dual special needs plan (DSNP)

In addition to expanding the UnitedHealthcare Dual Complete® plan coverage area to include individuals in 22 new counties, the following changes were made to the dual special needs plan (DSNP) in Kansas for 2021.

New or enhanced member benefits for 2021:

  • Food Allowance: Prepaid debit card to buy fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meats, breads and more at many retailers. New benefit.  
  • Prescriptions: $0 drug copays on all tiers of covered generic and name-brand prescription medications with option for home delivery. Removal of copays.
  • Hearing Exam and Hearing Aid Allowance: $2,500 allowance for hearing aids every two years.  Increase of $500 every two years.
  • Vision Exam and Eyewear Credits: Annual exam and $400 in credits every year for eyewear.  Increase of $100 in eyewear credits annually.
