On Oct. 1, 2020, LogistiCare replaced National MedTrans as the transportation benefit provider for UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Nebraska members. This means members will need to contact LogistiCare to schedule and arrange their non-emergent medical transportation.
What This Means for You
There’s no action required from you during the transition. Members should have received information about LogistiCare and scheduling their transportation. Your staff can also call LogistiCare directly at 866-394-3984 to arrange transportation for members.
What This Means for Members
This vendor change won’t affect the member’s transportation benefit or services. The only difference is the member will now contact LogistiCare to arrange transportation. Members can continue using National MedTrans for trips already scheduled through Sept. 30, 2020.
Rescheduling Rides or Recurring Rides After Sept. 30, 2020
Some members may have trips already scheduled with National MedTrans after Sept. 30, 2020, and we want to help ensure they have a smooth transition between vendors. Members can contact LogistiCare starting Sept. 15, 2020, at 833-583-5683 to schedule any trips they need after Sept. 30, 2020.
Recurring trips will be transferred automatically to LogistiCare. Members can also contact us at the Member Services number on their health ID card for help using their transportation benefit.
