Managing Medication for People With Asthma

Last update: October 16, 2020

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one in 13 people has asthma. One way you can educate our members to help prevent the exacerbation of this disease is by monitoring patients who have been prescribed an asthma controller medication.

We track the percentage of members, ages 5-85, who have persistent asthma and use appropriate medications the majority of the year. By monitoring these members annually for compliance of their bronchodilator and corticosteroid medication, you can help us achieve better health care outcomes for children and adults with asthma.
