Change in Transportation Vendor Network

Beginning Aug. 1, 2020, the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Medicaid and UnitedHealthcare Dual Complete (D-SNP) plans will be changing the transportation vendor network. LogistiCare has acquired National MedTrans and will be providing transportation to Ohio members.

There will not be any changes to the transportation benefit that our members receive, only to the provider of these services. If members have currently scheduled or recurring trips with National MedTrans, these trips will be provided to LogistiCare for future management. This is called Continuity of Care and helps members make a seamless transition to LogistiCare.

Members will be able to contact LogistiCare as of July 16, 2020, for help with changing any current trips or for planning trips after the August 1st transition date. Your staff can also call LogistiCare directly at the number below to arrange transportation for members, or UnitedHealthcare Provider Services for any addition questions.
