Introducing member self-scheduling pilot program using DocASAP

Starting January 2022, more than 2,300 primary care providers currently connected to the DocASAP scheduling platform will be part of a pilot program for a new self-scheduling capability. Care providers in the Dallas, Houston, NoVA and Green Bay areas will be included in the program. You don’t need to take any action. The platform retrieves your appointment availability. Patients will have the convenience of scheduling an appointment with you anytime by selecting the Schedule Now button displayed in the Medicare Member Portal.

The convenience of 24-hour access helps improve patient satisfaction by making it easy to schedule the appointments you recommend. You may find that enabling patients to schedule online will reduce canceled appointments and help you provide care to your patients.

Included in the first phase of this pilot are:

  • Medicare Advantage® (MA)
  • Medicare Advantage® Prescription Drug (MAPD)
  • Sponsored Supplemental Plan (SSP)
  • Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP)
  • Chronic Special Needs Plan (C-SNP)
  • Institutional Special Needs Plan (I-SNP)

There are plans to expand member self-scheduling using DocASAP with other plan types and additional care providers during 2022 depending on the outcomes of the pilot program.
