Texas: New AI technology helps improve birthing experience

You can now provide enhanced childbirth care for expecting members using the Delfina artificial intelligence (AI) app. UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Texas is collaborating with the software developer to help identify pregnancy risks and complications. This advanced AI app is an optional service available to you and the expectant mothers you care for.

How it works

You’re able to integrate your electronic health record (EHR) system with Delfina’s care provider dashboard. Once connected, you can help identify possible high-risk pregnancies or other conditions, view test results and connect directly with expectant mothers. You can also remotely monitor their weight, blood pressure and glucose levels using patient monitoring devices that will be sent to members.

Next steps

To get started using the app, contact Delfina Chief Medical Officer Bonnie Zell at bonnie@delfina.com. Or, you can call her at 415-794-0203. You can also visit delfina.com/partner-with-us or go to How Delfina Care Works for more information. Delfina is currently providing all services at no cost.
