New credentialing experience launching for Alabama, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming
To help simplify credentialing and reduce administrative burden, we’re transitioning credentialing activities from Onboard Pro to CertifyOS. This platform gives participating practitioners one place to manage credentialing information across multiple payers. Providers will benefit from fewer application requests, a single source for documentation follow-up and a common recredentialing date across participating payers.
What this means for you
For all health plan providers in Alabama, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming:
- Starting Nov. 2, 2026: New credentialing submissions through Onboard Pro will continue to follow the current process, but primary source verification will be completed by CertifyOS. If additional information is needed, providers may be contacted by CertifyOS.
- Starting Nov. 2, 2026: CertifyOS will begin managing recredentialing for providers due for recredentialing in April 2027. Providers may be contacted if updates to their CAQH profile, attestation or health plan access are needed.
- Starting Nov. 16, 2026: Go to the CertifyOS portal to complete a credentialing application, where UnitedHealthcare will appear as a participating health plan
CertifyOS works alongside existing CAQH workflows and is designed to reduce duplicate credentialing requests, minimize paperwork and create a simpler credentialing experience.
Exceptions
- Virtual-only and multistate providers will continue to use Onboard Pro for the credentialing process but will move to CertifyOS at a future date
- Delegated providers will continue to use their existing process
- Facility credentialing will continue to use Onboard Pro
