“Accepting New Patients” designation in the Provider Portal
Our provider demographic information now indicates whether you are accepting new patients. This information will be visible to our members when searching for a provider through our online Provider Directory. Providers who are indicated as “accepting new patients” will be able to receive opportunity referrals from us.
If your availability is such that you prefer not to receive opportunity referrals but would still like the ability to submit Referral Requests for patients in your office, please uncheck the Accepting New Patients checkbox on your Provider Profile page in the Provider Portal.
When ready to begin receiving opportunity referrals again, return to your profile and select the Accepting New Patients checkbox. Please be aware that this will no longer be referred to as “Reverse Referral Only” status. Instead, you will need to ensure your Accepting New Patients status is correct on your provider profile page in the portal.
