Beginning in June, we kicked off an initiative to help members get scheduled more quickly. We know how long it can take some patients to take that first step and wanted to assist the process. Once registration with UnitedHealthcare Hearing is complete, our customer care team will transfer the member directly to your practice to get scheduled. This action was inspired by the insightful provider and patient feedback we’ve received over the past year that focused on wanting to be connected quicker to schedule the hearing aid consultation.
How it works:
For members who agree to be transferred ― our representative calls your practice, introduces themselves, and gives all pertinent patient information before fully transferring the member to schedule the appointment.
You and the member will continue to receive referral paperwork.
