New online course for providers treating patients with IDD

A new online course for providers who serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is available now.

The course titled Providing Quality Care For Adults With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities covers:

  • Clinical considerations to help address the specific needs of patients with IDD
  • Bias, stigma and discrimination toward individuals with IDD and strategies to address these issues
  • The value of team collaboration between health care professionals, caregivers and direct support professionals when treating patients with IDD

Participants may receive CE credits for completing the course. 

Registration is open online now through Optum Health Education.
