Beginning Aug. 1, please use 1-855-766-0344 when you need to contact the provider Call Center to request assistance.

The new number is dedicated to specifically support health care professionals who offer services to Rhode Island Medicaid members. This number is designed to reduce call wait times and connect you to representatives who can address your questions in a timely manner.

Member ID Card changes
Beginning mid-August, your patients will receive new Member ID cards. The new cards will be effective for dates of service on or after Sep. 1, 2022. These cards have a new 9-digit member ID number. Please be sure you update this information in your records.

  • Check the member’s eligibility each time they visit your office.
  • Include the member’s new ID number on claim submissions or when requesting services that require authorization.
  • Use the provider website listed on the back of the member’s health plan ID card for secure transactions such as submitting prior authorization and checking claims status
  • Search your patient’s ID number through UHCprovider.com. Access the Eligibility and Benefits site of your provider portal by using your patient’s name and date of birth.
