Help improve behavioral health outcomes for your patients

In 2022, Washington Medicaid is implementing 2 quality measures to help improve behavioral health outcomes for Medicaid beneficiaries:

  • Mental health (MH) service penetration measure: The percentage of members with a mental health service need who received outpatient mental health services in the measurement year
  • Substance use disorder (SUD) treatment penetration measure: The percentage of members with a SUD treatment need who received SUD treatment in the measurement year

Both behavioral health and medical providers may provide these services. See the full list of qualifying codes for the SUD treatment penetration measures.
