Help improve behavioral health outcomes for your patients
In 2022, Washington Medicaid is implementing 2 quality measures to help improve behavioral health outcomes for Medicaid beneficiaries:
Mental health (MH) service penetration measure: The percentage of members with a mental health service need who received outpatient mental health services in the measurement year
Substance use disorder (SUD) treatment penetration measure: The percentage of members with a SUD treatment need who received SUD treatment in the measurement year
Both behavioral health and medical providers may provide these services. See the full list of qualifying codes for the MH and SUD treatment penetration measures.
We need your help We want to help ensure UnitedHealthcare Community Plan members are receiving the MH and SUD services they need. Adhering to the MH and SUD measures can help achieve this goal.
