Pennsylvania providers: UnitedHealthcare Community Plan for Families Medicaid update

August 2022

Effective Sept. 1, 2022, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan for Families will no longer be a participating benefit plan in the following counties:

  • Adams
  • Allegheny
  • Armstrong
  • Beaver
  • Bedford
  • Berks County
  • Blair
  • Butler
  • Cambria
  • Cumberland
  • Dauphin
  • Fayette
  • Franklin
  • Fulton
  • Greene
  • Huntingdon
  • Indiana
  • Lancaster
  • Lawrence
  • Lebanon
  • Lehigh
  • Northampton
  • Perry
  • Somerset
  • Washington
  • Westmoreland
  • York

We will continue to administer the vision benefits and reimburse for eligible services for UnitedHealthcare Community Plan for Families members in these counties through Aug. 31, 2022. If your county was not listed above, you will not be affected by this benefit plan termination, and you may continue to provide services to these members after Aug. 31, 2022.

Please also note, if you serve UnitedHealthcare CHIP and DSNP (Dual Complete) members, you may continue to do so without interruption, as there is no impact to these members due to this change.
