Understanding the foundations of health equity and identifying the factors that contribute to health disparities can help you promote better health for all.
In partnership with Optum Health Education, we are pleased to offer a free, 1 continuing medical education (CME) credit web series on Advancing Health Equity Education. This series offers several on-demand education activities, including Health Equity Foundations training.
Following the series, you should be able to:
- Describe the intersections between diversity, equity and inclusion and health equity
- Distinguish between equity, equality and justice
- Understand different types of biases and how they impact interactions with others
- Identify individual strategies to promote health equity
You can earn 1.00 CME/NCPD credit for each session completed. There are no fees for participating in or receiving credit for these activities.
Intended audience
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of case managers, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physicians’ assistants, physicians, psychologists, social workers and other health care professionals who have an interest in learning about health equity.
