When you consider cultures, values and beliefs in a patient’s treatment, it can help positively affect their health outcomes. Update your My Practice Profile to attest to completion of cultural competency training through UnitedHealthcare or any other resource, such as your employer or office.
Cultural competency categories
The following categories are some examples of the areas you can attest to:
- Chronic conditions/clinical care/specialized interest
- Cultural humility
- Language, interpretation and translation
- LGBTQ+ communities
- Social drivers of health (SDOH)
How to update My Practice Profile
If you’re an authorized user, complete the following steps:
- Go to UHCprovider.com and select Sign In at the top-right corner
- Enter your One Healthcare ID
- Access My Practice Profile under Practice Management
- Select the appropriate corporate name and tax ID number from the provider menus
- To review your data, click view and edit profile, or select the Practice Profile tab from the menu options
- If the data we have is correct, click Attest
- If the data we have is incorrect:
- From each tab, click into and edit information in the associated cell, if available. You may also use the icons in the Actions column and select the pencil to View and edit details. This will open a new page with additional details.
- Review your changes by selecting Submit Changes, then click Attest
- After making all needed changes, click Submit Changes
- Review the updates, confirm the effective date for each change and click next when complete
- When complete, you have the option to:
- Submit and attest to only the changes being submitted
- Submit and attest to any updates as well as the accuracy of the entire Practice Profile
