New York: Bariatric surgery requirement updates
Center of Excellence review no longer required for New York Oxford plan members
Beginning Jan. 1, 2024, we’ll no longer require a Center of Excellence review for bariatric surgeries for UnitedHealthcare Oxford plan members in New York.
Note: This change impacts only the Center of Excellence review process; prior authorization is still required for bariatric surgeries.
