In October 2026, Maryland Medicaid will transition its provider enrollment system from ePREP to MPRIME. Once MPRIME goes live, providers will no longer use ePREP to submit new applications or update existing Medicaid enrollment information.
While we don’t expect this transition to disrupt your claims, payments or data, it’s important that you take the following actions to help avoid delays in enrollment and contracting:

Maryland Medicaid requires providers to obtain and maintain in good standing, a State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) identification number that appropriately identifies their organizational structure. Beginning with the MPRIME transition, if you don’t have an active SDAT identification number in good standing, you will not be able to submit applications.
Individual billing providers should also ensure their registered SDAT identification number begins with L.
