MH/SUD prior auth requests are moving to Provider Express

Mental health and substance use disorder (MH/SUD) prior authorization requests will soon be submitted through Provider Express. If you initiate a request through the Prior Authorization and Notification tool in the UnitedHealthcare Provider Portal for these services, you’ll be redirected to Provider Express to complete your submission.

Connect your organization to Provider Express now to ensure uninterrupted access when this change takes effect.

Important: This change does not affect Surest and Rocky Mountain Health Plans. Continue submitting your MH/SUD prior authorization requests using the Prior Authorization and Notification tool in the portal.

What you need to do

• Log in to Provider Express with your existing One Healthcare ID
• Connect your organization(s) if you haven’t already
• Complete setup as soon as possible to avoid disruption when this change takes effect
