The Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) provides transportation to medical appointments for medical assistance recipients who don’t have transportation available. Transportation is administered by the member’s county of residence and based on individual needs (e.g., public transportation, shared ride, wheelchair van or mileage reimbursement).
Members can visit MATP for county-specific information about available services and the application process. If additional help is needed for coordinating transportation, please contact the UnitedHealthcare Enhanced Member Support Unit at 877-844-8844.
For hospitalized members, work with the assigned UnitedHealthcare discharge planner to arrange transportation upon discharge.
