We are aware of a variety of known issues affecting the ability to submit a request for a prior authorization. We are working to correct these issues as quickly as possible.

Existing patient prior authorization requirements

  • For existing patients if Rocky Mountain Health Plans did not require a prior authorization for a service UnitedHealthcare will not require a prior authorization.
  • For new patients you can review the prior authorization requirements lists to determine if a service requires a prior authorization submission.
