Synapse Health manages the durable medical equipment (DME) ordering and fulfillment process for UnitedHealthcare^® Medicare Advantage members across multiple states and plans.

Synapse Health is the in-network provider for mail-order, respiratory and standard DME products, managing the end-to-end DME member experience, from ordering and fulfillment to delivery and support.

Synapse DME process overview

• Member and physician discuss the need for DME equipment and supplies
• Physician or care team submits the order to Synapse Health
• Synapse confirms coverage and onboards member
• Synapse routes order to DME fulfillment provider and monitors the status
• DME equipment and supplies are delivered or shipped
• Synapse conducts a post-delivery outreach and routinely engages to ensure support and resupply needs
