Document Library

Access letters and reports online

Document Library, formerly Document Vault, is located securely within the UnitedHealthcare Provider Portal. Most claim, prior authorization, payment (including overpayment and appeal) letters and reports, are already in Document Library. They are available the day they’re generated, so all authorized users in your organization can view them right away.

Benefits and features

  • View and print your documents
  • Download letters and provider remittance advice (PRAs) up to 24 months
  • Identify folders easily and quickly view all files with the new layout
  • See only the information you want with customizable views
  • Use bulk action to manage multiple documents at once to save time
  • Find documents fast with quick or advanced search
  • Sort by date to see your most recently added documents
  • Mark letters and documents as read/unread with the indicator icon

As we continue to transition from print and mail to electronic delivery, eventually all your letters and reports will be in Document Library. You can view them there, even if you’re still receiving letters in the mail.

You need a One Healthcare ID to access secure content on UHCprovider.com, including Document Library, and to complete any actions electronically (e.g., submit claims, verify eligibility, check prior authorization requirements, etc.).

Have a One Healthcare ID? You already have access to the portal and Document Library. Just follow these simple steps to log in:

  1. Go to UHCprovider.com and click Sign In in the upper right-hand corner
  2. Sign into the portal using your One Healthcare ID and password
  3. In the menu, select Documents & Reporting
  4. Then click Document Library

Need a One Healthcare ID? Get one here.

You don’t have to wait to go paperless. Your password owner can turn off mailed paper letters (for those available electronically) at any time using the Paperless Delivery Options tool in the UnitedHealthcare Provider Portal.

If you are an outside vendor, such as a revenue cycle management company (RCM) or billing company, you will need to reach out to each client’s password owner to turn off paper in the Paperless Delivery Options tool.

  1. RCM staff should first register for a One Healthcare ID with their employer’s tax ID number (TIN) — not the care provider’s
  2. Next, request access to the care provider tax ID numbers in the Link Security tool
  3. A letter is mailed to the care provider with instructions for approving or denying access
  4. RCM staff will receive an email when their access request has been approved or denied
