Effective Sept. 1, 2024, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) will terminate remaining registered provider IDs that are not yet enrolled with Florida Medicaid in accordance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements. Federal law requires all network health care professionals to enroll with Florida Medicaid by submitting a Florida Medicaid Provider Enrollment Application.
To receive Medicaid reimbursement, a provider must be enrolled in Medicaid and meet all provider requirements at the time service is rendered. Providers who do not enroll will not be paid and may not continue seeing Medicaid members.
The providers and their future termination dates will be listed on the Provider Master List (PML). Note that active registered providers with a future termination date can still be used for encounters through Aug. 31, 2024.
To continue to provide services to Florida Medicaid Managed Care recipients, enroll using the Florida Medicaid Enrollment Wizard. Additional information is available on the different CMS compliant enrollment types at ahca.myflorida.com.
For assistance with the application or other provider enrollment related inquiries, please contact the Florida Medicaid Provider Enrollment Call Center at 800-289-7799, option 4.
More information is available at mymedicaid-florida.com.
Providers registered as Provider Type 07 (Specialized Therapeutic Services) and Out-of-State (OOS) Provider Type 16 (Residential and Freestanding Psychiatric Facility) are temporarily excluded from this termination because there is not yet a path for them to enroll.
Registered providers enrolled under Provider Type 97 (Managed Care Treating Provider – Non-Medicaid) who have a valid provider type taxonomy will receive a future termination date of Sept. 1, 2024.
